São Paulo brings together society, entrepreneurs and Brazilian NGOs at the 3rd edition of ONG Brasil (NGO Brazil)
The opening ceremony of ONG Brasil [NGO Brazil], the biggest Brazilian event for the third sector, was attended by a multitude of entrepreneurs and representatives of organizations, who in their discussions revealed different viewpoints on the importance and development of volunteer work in recent years, promoting interaction between NGOs and the other sectors. On its first day, the event was attended by 500 NGOs from all over Brazil, over a 15,000 m² area, and it continues until Saturday (12/17), and will take in visitors, exhibitors and seminar attendees who are interested in fostering development and the exchange of knowledge in the sector.More information
On December 15 and 16, Diálogo Social [Social Dialogue] and Filantropia Magazine are promoting 24 mini-courses with the focus being social management. Aimed at third sector professionals, the courses and workshops cover issues such as HR recruitment and selection; digital marketing for NGOs...
An intensive debate took place on Thursday morning, at Expo Center Norte. Before the official start of the Fair, there was the presentation of the International Volunteer Work Conference on the following issue: “The State of the World's Volunteerism” (Estado do Voluntariado no Mundo), the situation of volunteer work in Brazil and an overview highlighting advances and challenges in the sector.
“With this non-profit event we are replicating what we do as the best in the world in the business sector for the benefit of a fairer and more reponsible community. In its third edition, ONG Brasil [NGO Brazil] has consolidated itself as the event for the third sector in the country.”
During the first two days, the fair and conferences are aimed at allowing NGOs to exchange experiences with seminars, courses and other attractions which will stimulate employee and volunteer training and will make new partnerships possible. Representatives of the second sector interested in investing in social, environmental or cultural projects are also invited to take part in the activities.
